Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Weivo handles information when you use our website and mobile app.
Effective date: August 5, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Weivo website at weivo.online and the Weivo mobile app. The mobile app does not require you to create an account or sign in. Some website features, such as syncing a dashboard across sessions, may offer Google sign-in.
2. Information we process
Depending on how you use Weivo, we may process:
- weight entries, dates, units, goals, and notes that you choose to add;
- your name, email address, profile image, and account identifier when you choose Google sign-in on the website;
- authentication, security, and session information needed to keep the website working safely;
- website usage information collected through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, such as page views, interactions, session activity, approximate location, traffic source, browser, and device type;
- messages and contact details you send when requesting support; and
- basic technical information provided by your browser or device, such as IP address, browser type, device type, and error information.
If you use the website without signing in, weight entries may be stored in your browser's local storage. The mobile app does not collect account credentials simply because you use it.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide weight tracking, trends, and related app features;
- authenticate website users who choose to sign in and keep their data associated with their account;
- maintain security, prevent misuse, diagnose errors, and improve reliability;
- understand website traffic, feature usage, navigation patterns, heatmaps, and session interactions through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity;
- respond to questions, support requests, and legal obligations; and
- protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Weivo and its users.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies and local storage
The website uses cookies for authentication, security, session continuity, recording your cookie acknowledgement, Google Analytics measurement, and Microsoft Clarity session analytics. Analytics starts only after you select Accept in the cookie notice. We may also use browser local storage to keep unsigned-in weight entries and preferences on your device. We do not currently use cookies for personalized advertising. For details, read our Cookie Policy.
5. When information is shared
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Weivo, such as hosting, database, authentication, analytics, and infrastructure providers. Google processes information when you choose Google sign-in and when Google Analytics is enabled after cookie acceptance. Microsoft processes website interaction information when Clarity is enabled after cookie acceptance. These providers may use information only as permitted by their agreements and applicable law.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, to protect users or the public, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
6. Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide Weivo, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Browser or device-stored data remains until you clear it, remove the app, or use an available deletion control. Account data may be retained until you delete your account, subject to limited legal or backup retention.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Keep your device and any connected Google account protected.
7. Your choices and rights
You can choose not to use Google sign-in, clear local website data through your browser, and manage app data through your device or available in-app controls. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal information we hold about you.
To make a privacy request, email theraghuraj26@gmail.com. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
8. Children, international use, and changes
Weivo is intended for people aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to Weivo, contact us so we can address it.
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, where data protection laws may differ. We may update this policy as Weivo changes. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date.
